Mgr. Jan Vytřísal (b. 1993, Brno) is the author of the novel The Consultant
— a corporate noir about one cruel sentence and the avalanche it triggered.
Alongside his writing he works as an attorney-at-law registered with the
Czech Bar Association under no. 20461, co-founder and partner of the law
firm IUSTORIA in Brno (iustoria.cz). He specialises in litigation strategy,
commercial negotiation, and mediation.

Before moving into law he spent nine years as a presenter and editor in
radio. The experience with live speech, the structure of conversation,
and timing remains a quiet part of how he now works with disputes,
negotiations and text.

In fiction and essayistic writing he is drawn to the borderland where
legal, behavioural and literary readings of reality meet. In his work and
texts he moves regularly between behavioural economics (Kahneman, Tversky),
game theory (Schelling), developmental psychology (Kegan, Vygotsky) and
strategic legal practice. Not academically — as a practitioner who uses
the frameworks that hold up in real situations.

Publishes regularly — the Topology of the Real essay cycle (seven parts,
2026). Working on three further manuscripts in development (The Architecture
of Truth, Translation of Reality, Without Intent). Founder of VELAR Dynamics
(social simulations under pressure).

Father of two sons. Brno is home.
